I am sharing a post, with permission, from a fellow conserned reader regarding the government regulations that are in the works. 

The new Govt. Regs trying to get soap listed as a cosmetic, is

only the beginning. The muscle soothing cream I make, I have been

told by the State of Florida, is a DRUG! It's a drug because it

contains 2 herbs and MSM. So they want me register as someone

making "drugs" in my kitchen, but also as a cosmetic maker.



These new regs are coming from the World Trade Act that president

Clinton signed us up for. Germany and France convinced the UN

(that's where the World Trade Act was actually spawned, That Herbs

are actually drugs and need to be controlled by the govts. and only

manufactured by drug companies. And, if someone wants an herbal

solution to their illness they need a doctor's RX and the herbs the

drug store sells them can only come from the drug companies.

American and Canadian manufacters of Vitamins and Supplements (Herbs

and Antioxidants) are no longer allowed to import their products into

Europe. The only companies allowed to import herbs into the European

Union are drug companies. They've also convinced their govt. that

like all drugs, they need to be controlled like all medication.

Vitamin and Antioxidant intake must be controlled to, so Vitamins and

Supplements will also be manufactured by the Drug companies. People

are allowed to purchase vitamins in RDA doses, but if you get a cold

and want a little extra Vitamin C, say 500 mg, you'll need a RX from

your doctor and they will cost you between $90 and $120 for 100. At

least, I understand that's what they are currently going for in

Norway and Germany.



The UN and World Trade Act, has also allowed these drug companies

to patent the different uses of herbs. One herb is patented by four

different drug companies in four different countries. Their patents

are for four diffent diseases. Depending on what your doctor writes

the prescription for, that will determine which drug company's

product you get. Vitamins and antioxidants will only be allowed to

be purchased in doses that do not exceed the RDA that science

determines for us.



Once the Act goes into full effect, even if you don't mention what

an herb does in you lotion, cream, or SOAP, if it has a historic use

for say healing, you will then be manufacturing a drug. You will no

longer be allowed to give your child an herbal remedy of supplement,

unless you are a doctor.



The ruse these drug companies are using is that they are trying to

protect us. The research they are using to get their patents, is

historical data from centuries of use of these plants and herbs.

Then they do a couple of controlled studies, most with fewer than 100

people, and the herbs work so well, they are considered safe and the

drug company is granted their patent and allowed to now manufacture

their new and amazing "drug."



Do some research on this. Big Brother is about to take a

BIG bite out of our liveihood, and if the big drug companies and big

cosmetic companies have anything to say about it, it will put almost

all of us out of business.



Germany, France, and the UN are threatening to impose massive

trade sanctions against our govt. unless it complies. I believe the

first phase goes into effect November, 2008. That's when the new

labelling regs go into effect. They plan to phase this program in

bit by bit, hoping we won't notice until it's too late and it's the

LAW of the world, not just our country.
